Install VLC 1.0.0 Final

Here is how to install VLC ver. 1.0.0

Finally!

For Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope:

sudo sh -c "echo 'deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/c-korn/vlc/ubuntu jaunty main' >> /etc/apt/sources.list"

For Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex:

sudo sh -c "echo 'deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/c-korn/vlc/ubuntu intrepid main' >> /etc/apt/sources.list"

For Ubuntu Hardy Heron:

sudo sh -c "echo 'deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/c-korn/vlc/ubuntu hardy main' >> /etc/apt/sources.list"

Then import the GPG key (all above Ubuntu version):

sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 7613768D

Then update and Install:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install vlc vlc-plugin-esd mozilla-plugin-vlc

JDownloader for rapidshare and more!

I try to find a good downloader for Rapidshare and Megashares to download with Premium account with multi-thread support.

After a lot of search i found Jdownloader based on Java, Its one of the best out there for linux if you use rapidshare.

Can add direct links, you can give the password of rar files and when it finish auto-extract the file and its ready. supports more than 20 host provides and decryption for 100 providers!


I read that works without premium accounts expect filefactory and is 100% better than US-Downloader and Just WORKS!!!

First we have to install Java if you dont allready have it!

In terminal:

sudo apt-get install sun-java5-jdk

Then we download Jdownloader:

when you download unrar to /home/username/

double click and install! restart firefox!

In firefox go Tools - Addons and Extensions Tab

press Preferences

you have to add java path : /usr/bin/java

and jDownloader path: /home/username/Jdownloader/Jdownloader.jar

Press Ok

You are ready now, in /home/username/Jdownloader double click on Jdownloader.jar

Mockup Theme

Ok... this is one of my latest favorites themes!

first we need GTK theme download from Here

we unzip it and we go System - Preferences - Appearance

and we install it with install button.

After install we go to top panel and right click, select properties, in the new open windows select tab background and we select solid with with transparency to a low value.

if we use the emerald we have to disable it!!

We go System - Administrator - Login Window

Select Local Tab

and press Add button to install new theme for login screen

Uncheck all others login screen and check only the mockup login!!
